There are countless ways to improve productivity on your Haas machines, and one is as simple and cost-effective as replacing standard flood coolant with a high-pressure coolant system. The most obvious advantage of high-pressure coolant is that it enables faster and deeper cuts than with flood coolant. But there’s much more:

  1. Because it significantly reduces heat within the cutting zone, high-pressure coolant enables faster spindle speeds and feed rates, thus reducing process time and cost-per-part.
  2. By more effectively flushing chips from the tool and workpiece, you can perform more efficient deep hole drilling and blind ID boring.
  3. High-pressure clears chips faster so you don’t waste time re-cutting which, along with reduced heat in the cutting area, promotes longer tool life.
  4. Chips that aren’t cleared from the cutting zone can scratch the workpiece. High-pressure systems protect part surface finishes.
  5. By reducing heat and keeping the cut zone clear, high-pressure coolant lets you drill to depth in a single pass and with less tool wear versus peck drilling.

The Haas high-pressure system delivers up to 1,000 PSI (69 bar) has a 3 hp (2.2 kW) motor that runs off of the machine’s power source, and has an automatic cleaning function on the pump intake.
